If you enjoy supporting local restaurants and a good cause, No Mames Mexican Cantina (Doro Restaurant Group’s latest concept) in Wethersfield has something special cooking.

The restaurant recently launched a monthly Chef Collaboration Dinner Series, partnering with some of the state’s top culinary talent to create unique, multi-course menus. Executive Chef Ryan Van Grouw says every detail—from the flavors to the hospitality—is intentional, drawing inspiration from places like Tulum, Miami, and New York City. The dinners are served family-style, creating a warm, communal atmosphere. Ten percent of ticket sales are donated to Connecticut Foodshare, a nonprofit working to fight hunger in the state.
