This June marks a milestone for one of the Shoreline’s iconic destination markets when Lisa and Michael Kerr celebrate their three-year anniversary owning and operating Atlantic Seafood Market in Old Saybrook. Beloved for its friendly and knowledgeable staff, a variety of fish, shellfish, prepared salads, soups, and chowders, and above all its superb quality and freshness, Atlantic Seafood Market also carries a large stock of other items of convenience – items to help you build the perfect meal around your selection of seafood; sauces, toppers, and rubs, but also pastas, produce, breads, and desserts!
“Our many loyal customers continue to praise us for our outstanding selection and presentation,” says Lisa. “And we love how often we hear from first timers that they’ll be back, and that they’ll refer their friends!” Through responsible sourcing with an eye for sustainability, Lisa continues the award-winning work of the former owner in offering new fish choices, seasonal options, and real value. Besides the market’s well-known, energetic and festive, winter holiday period – driven in large part by the “Feast of the Seven Fishes,” it supports the local community and culture by supplying fresh-off-the-boat shad and shad roe during the annual spring run.
Lisa says, “We love our little market and anticipate a bright future ahead as we explore other ways to meet our customers’ needs while staying grounded in the community we serve.”
Atlantic Seafood Market is at 1400 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook
