In the Winter Holiday 2021 Issue
MISE EN PLACE ...
What more is there to say? We’re back and couldn’t be more excited to return to print, our first love and hopefully yours! We think there’s nothing better than holding beautifully designed, artfully recycled paper in your hands and enjoying a good read (We’re partial to hard back books as well). The response to the new print issue we’ve received as we crossed eastern Connecticut has been really heartwarming. Your support keeps us going!
Equally important, we welcome many new advertising partners who have joined us this issue including Bank & Bridge Brewing Company, Water Street Café, J&R Seafood, Rio Salado, Inn at Stonington, Shipwright’s Daughter, Philip Darrell Lighting Design, Julia M. Leeming Architect, Stonington Historical Society, Whole Harmony, and Rootz Kitchen. Along with long time supporters including 85th Day Group, Green Valley Hospitality, and Willimantic Food Co-op, these are the people that make the magazine possible so please visit as many of them as possible to express your thanks!
Also say hello to Seth Hoyt, heading up advertising partnerships in Mystic, Stonington, and beyond. He’s a wonderful man to have coffee with and brings a wealth of experience as Publisher of Cosmopolitan magazine for 15 years as well as at Rolling Stone and Sports Illustrated. We are thrilled to have him on the team.
With our free non-profit ad for the issue, we’re happy to support End Hunger Connecticut! (EHC!), a statewide anti-hunger nonprofit in Connecticut dedicated to eliminating hunger, increasing food security, and promoting healthy nutrition through outreach, public education, and legislative and administrative advocacy.
EHC! believes every individual, child, and family deserve proper access to food and nutrition, and no one should wonder where their next meal is coming from. Learn about their efforts, programs, services, and more at www.endhungerct.org and on social media @endhungerct. And please give as you are able.
We could wax on about this wonderful season, about the long past year and a half we’ve all endured, and other facts of life, but we’re most thankful for you, our readers. We do this for you, to bring you sophisticated dives into the most interesting people and places bringing joy to our local food region. Thank you for appreciating our work, our passion, and we sincerely hope you enjoy this re-emergent issue. There are a lot more, great stories coming in 2022!
Best,
